Since his childhood, he dreams of becoming an artist, despite having been born in a family with no relationship whatsoever with the world of art.
He belonged to the Joven Escuela Madrileña, his career as a painter was closely followed and applauded by art media. After obtaining the professorship of Natural Drawing in the School of Fine Arts in Seville, teaching art becomes one the fundamental pillars of his life.
Having been recognized as a Master in painting, awarded in several occasions, an artist in a permanent search, he decides to abandon the figurative painting at the end of the 50’s, to enter in a path that will lead him to be considered one of the greatest innovators of abstraction in the XX century. He dies at 89 in Seville in 2004; painting till the last day, till the last moment.
